[SURVEY] CALL FOR INPUT ON THE REPURPOSING OF THE ALTE FESTE BUILDING (MAEC)

Windhuk_Alte_Feste__20221019-151227_1

The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture (MEAC) is responsible for the Alte Feste Building.

The Ministry, in collaboration with other key stakeholders, is looking to repurpose the historical building into a space that is accessible and beneficial to all Namibians despite its origins and past use. The concept of repurposing usually means retaining its original historical features but using the space for a different function.

The concept is not new and, around the world, numerous countries have repurposed spaces such as old factories, army camps or even old churches into museums, arts and culture centres/hubs and/or parks. Therefore, the Ministry is calling on the general public to indicate what and how they would like to see the Alte Feste repurposed.

We encourage you to take a minute to respond to the questions here https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScN0RitN0URF38nP9hzDGT7psO7_yFBaFbMokqSJBysC0V7zA/viewform
