Job Description The position is responsible to assist in the acquisition, storage and presentation of a collection of artifacts, in order to inform, educate and entertain the public on the history of the city of Windhoek.
Key Performance Areas Assist in the development of exhibitions. Assist in curation. Assist in museum education program development & guidance. Administration.
Skills, Experience & Education

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Diploma in Social Science / History / Tourisms / Education. REQUIRED SPECIALISATION: History & Tourism. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: A minimum period of four (4) years job related experience. LEGAL REQUIREMENT: Valid Code B / BE Driver’s License. PRE-APPOINTMENT TRAINING AS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE: Computer literacy, cataloguing and conducting interviews. KNOWLEDGE: History of Windhoek and the general Namibian historical background, understanding of the heritage Sector. SKILLS: Excellent communication and observation skills, fundraising skills. Attention to detail, prior experience working with historical artifacts (advantage), excellent public relations and customer service skills, interpersonal and organization skills, project management.
