Zambezi Museum Bird Drawing Competition

Small-Zambezi-Bird-Competition-Poster-01

Are you a learner at a secondary school in the Zambezi Region?

If so, you can enter an exciting competition that involves art, fauna, and culture.

We would like you to make a neat colour drawing of a bird on A4 paper.  The bird should be one that you have seen in the area of the Zambezi Region.  You should put the name given to the bird in a local language (and English) and your name on the back of the paper and also complete the form which has been distributed to every secondary school in the region.   Each learner will be allowed to submit up to three entries.

The competition is being supported by the Museums Association of Namibia in partnership with the Namibia Bird Club. Prizes will be awarded to the individuals and schools that submit the best entries.

HOW TO ENTER

Entries should be delivered to the Zambezi Museum in Katima Mulilo by 18th October 2021.

Competition winners will be announced on 10th November 2021.

Recommended Museum

The Living Museum of the Damara close to Twyfelfontein is the first traditional Damara project in Namibia and the only one of its kind. The possibility to experience the traditional Damara culture in this form exists nowhere else in Namibia or in the world.
