In 2024, Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo would have celebrated his 100th birthday that coincides with the 30 years of democracy in South Africa. During this coming heritage month, Robben Island Museum (RIM) will celebrate and honour the rich life of Andimba (Herman) Toivo ya Toivo, a father, husband, anti-apartheid activist, political prisoner and politician.
