Museums Association of Namibia's 30th Anniversary Publication

The Museums Association of Namibia is almost as old as Namibia. Just a couple of months after independence (on International Museum Day after independence, 18th May, 1990) a large group of workers from museums, art galleries, libraries and archives met to discuss the establishment of an Association that would represent and support the cultural heritage sector.

The MAN secretariat, with the assistance of our Honorary members, have compiled at 30th anniversary publication in which we have attempted to document the history of MAN over the last 30 years. The publication consists of four main sections namely;
SECTION 1
THE HISTORY AND FUTURE OF MAN AND NAMIBIAN MUSEUMS
SECTION 2
ANNUAL REPORT | 01 APRIL 2019 – 31 MARCH 2020
SECTION 3
MAN PUBLICATIONS OVER THE YEARS
SECTION 4

We trust that you will find the publication to be an interesting and informative read. Due to financial constraints, we have not yet printed any hardcopies. However, we will inform you as soon as we do.

You can download a high resolution version of the publication here https://www.museums.com.na/journal-and-publications (scroll down to the Annual Reports heading).
